GUYS ARE BARELY LEGAL
THEY’RE naked, they’re singing – and they’ll finally take the stage in Puerto Rico.
A San Juan judge yesterday cleared the way for the off-Broadway revue “Naked Boys Singing!” to open a week after protests by religious groups and city officials threatened to hold the curtain indefinitely.
Members of the Tapia Theater’s board of directors had walked out of a dress rehearsal last week, declaring the show would “compromise the good name and prestige” of the theater.
Barring any more disputes, the show begins its four-week run tonight with a benefit for a local AIDS organization.
