You probably know Jon Glaser as the unapologetically corrupt councilman Jeremy Jamm from NBC’s “Park and Recreation” or as the dopey, beanie-wearing Laird on “Girls.” He’s also a writer (“Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “Inside Amy Schumer”) who’s had a string of shows on Adult Swim and TruTv, including “Jon Glaser Loves Gear,” which ran for two wacky seasons. Off-screen, the 51-year-old comedian’s life revolves around Prospect Park, where he’s been training for the New York City Marathon this Sunday, when he’ll raise money for Paul Newman’s Hole in the Wall Gang Camp for sick kids. The married father of two tells The Post about his new-found vegetarianism and the new gear he’s been eyeing.

On the weekend, there’s a lot of hanging out and sports. My son, 13, does flag football and my daughter, 7, is doing soccer, so that ends up being a big part of the weekend. They also both ride bikes, which is extremely fun — we’ll go to the park and do a loop or two. We just moved to Windsor Terrace from Park Slope. The kids are really lobbying hard for a dog. We just moved, so maybe not quite yet, but it will probably happen in the next year or two.

We’re still trying to find our spots. There’s a place called Le Paddock that we’ve already been to a bunch. They’ve got great pizza and delicious buffalo cauliflower. I’ve been trying to do no meat for a few months. I’ve been thinking about it for a while, but I was watching Netflix’s “Our Planet” four or five months ago with my kids, and I started thinking about it more and more.

East Wind Snack Shop has these amazing pork ribs, but I’m not going to get those anymore. A week ago, I was at Calexico in Park Slope with my daughter, and I would always get the fried chicken tacos. I instinctively got it without thinking twice. It also has bacon on it. I looked at my plate and thought, “Oh, I have to take the bacon off,” and then I realized, “Oh, I have to take all of this off.” I ate it anyway and it was, of course, delicious.

I found this ginger liqueur — it’s called Barrow’s Intense, and I’ve been having a lot of that. It tastes delicious, but it also has the ginger, so it’s got good digestive properties. But I’ve been trying not to go too crazy on booze during the marathon training.

The last time I did the marathon in 2017, we went to Jacques Torres and I got a big chocolate chip cookie. You have to get it off the warmer. It gets it nice and soft and the chocolate gets so melty inside. I’ll probably get that and a hot chocolate.

For marathon gear, I really like going to REI in Soho and Paragon Sports — they have everything. For running stuff, I go to JackRabbit in Park Slope. I saw these compression tights made by CEP. They have three-quarter length tights. Some compression tights, or recovery tights might be cool, or maybe a Theragun massager. Those things are awesome. They’re pretty pricey, though. That’s the main gear on my brain.
