THIS year’s roundly disliked “American Idol” victory anthem, “No Boundaries,” has been sent home.

Over the weekend, “Idol” winner Kris Allen dropped the song from the live show after just a few nights of concerts, according to fan reports.

The tour, featuring the top 10 finishers on “Idol 8” singing the songs they were best known for on the show, began in Portland last Sunday.

“No Boundaries,” co-written by new “Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi, was expressly written for the winner to sing this year on the show’s finale. In years’ past, specially written victory songs have gone on to become best-sellers. Kelly Clarkson’s first million seller was “A Moment Like This,” which was written for the final episode.

But “No Boundaries” was reportedly getting such a poor audience response during the concert that, without comment, Allen was told to find a new song to replace it.
