Lindsay Lohan’s mother abruptly pulled the plug on an interview with Dr. Drew Pinsky Tuesday, just a day before the actress is due in court for a probation hearing.
Dina Lohan 49, was expected to delve into her family’s struggle with substance abuse on Pinsky’s HLN program “Dr. Drew” Tuesday night but canceled and “provided no explanation,” a network spokesperson told NewsCore.
Lindsay Lohan will be in court Wednesday for a probation hearing, the spokesperson said, adding the timing was “interesting to note.”
The addiction specialist, who also hosts the VH1 reality show “Celebrity Rehab,” was hoping to ask about the highly publicized addiction issues plaguing the Lohan clan — primarily Lindsay and her father Michael.
The 25-year-old “Mean Girls” star has been to rehab five times, in addition to multiple stints in jail for DUI charges and violating her probation.
Dina Lohan’s ex-husband Michael, 51, has also struggled with alcohol abuse and was sentenced to a domestic violence treatment program in November, as part of his probation for assaulting ex-girlfriend Kate Major.
Lindsay Lohan will be in court Wednesday in Los Angeles to review her progress in completing her probation for pleading no contest to misdemeanor theft in May 2010.
Should the actress remain on the straight and narrow, she is expected to soon make her showbiz comeback.
