LUCKY LOPEZ
MARIO Lopez, the “Saved by the Bell” star who made a big comeback last year on “Dancing with the Stars,” is reportedly in contention to become the new host of “The Price is Right.”
He joins another “Dancing” alum, George Hamilton, at the top of the leader board for what has improbably become one of TV’s most talked-about job openings.
Bob Barker is set to retire from the show, after 35 years, at the end of this season.
CBS has been auditioning possible replacements, according to a report in the Hollywood Reporter.
Among those were Mark Steines, host of “Entertainment Tonight,” and John O’Hurley, yet another “Dancing” runner-up, the trade paper said.
