The popular “Joe Scarbo rough” radio show got knocked off the air yesterday for about 15 minutes by a technical glitch – at just the wrong moment.

The connection between Scarborough’s studio in Washington, DC and WABC in New York gave out just before 11 a.m., following a heated exchange between Scarborough and co-host Mika Brzezinski over the closing of the detention center at Guantanamo. Just as the exchange turned bizarre – Brzezinski was joking that she had taken over the mic and had tied Scarborough up in the corner with duct tape on his mouth – the show went off the air.

Patriotic music played for several minutes until WABC was able to transition into commercials and news.

The pair returned to the air at around 11:10, but did not acknowledge the gaffe.
