SEEKING to take advantage of its global reach – including its presence in south Asia – MTV is planning a day of tsunami-relief programming on Feb. 3 that will be seen on its networks around the world.

The centerpiece will be a live concert from Bangkok featuring Good Charlotte, Kelly Clarkson, and Simple Plan among others.

Meanwhile, NBC and the Red Cross yesterday were still tallying the pledges received last Saturday during NBC’s “Tsunami Aid” special. A total figure will likely be announced by the end of the week.
