Prior to Christmas, pet stores all over the metropolitan area advertised that they were carrying a heavy inventory of “AKC (American Kennel Club) registered pure-bred puppies.” Now, the holidays are over, and the pups that didn’t find homes are, like so many sheets at a white sale, available at reduced prices.
