Check out the acoustics for yourself at the newest, coolest hall in town – Zankel Hall, Carnegie Hall’s beautiful underground performance space.

There may be just the faintest rumble of a nearby subway as the Brooklyn Youth Chorus takes the stage today at 11 a.m. for an hourlong family concert.

Perfect for kids 6 through 12 (and the adults who love them), the concert features chances to sing along to songs new and old: everything from a snippet of Vivaldi’s 300-year-old “Gloria” to the world premiere of Kirk Nurock’s “Grandma Danced the Minuet.” Nurock will even be there – playing the piano.

For tickets, $5, call CarnegieCharge, (212) 247-7800.

So how do you get to Zankel Hall? Go to Seventh Avenue between 56th and 57th streets, then take the escalator down.
