The White House has gotten a technology upgrade — it’s now equipped with a DVR for the first time.

The First Family has just had a DVR installed in their second-floor family quarters in the White House, where technology can sometimes be long out of date, President Obama yesterday revealed.

“We’re a little bit behind,” he told people.com.

The First Couple also talked about their TV tastes.

“For the girls and me, ‘Modern Family,’ that’s our favorite show,” Michelle Obama said.

Meanwhile, the president admitted that he likes more dramatic fare.

“I’m a little darker,” he said, listing “Boardwalk Empire” and “Homeland” as his go-to series.

“We don’t watch TV with him,” the Michelle said.
