A mere 34 shows remain before talk show empress Oprah Win frey trundles off into the sunset in May. But before she takes a hiatus in March, she has lined up a week of anointed stars, new stars and old stars clawing their way back.

The day after the Oscars, Winfrey and her BFF Gayle King commandeer Hollywood’s Kodak Theater to celebrate the glamour, the upset winners and the devastating lack of taste in fashion. Will the winners still be hungover from endless partying the night before?

On Tuesday, Winfrey showcases America’s all-time smartest and most talented kids. With reading and geography scores being what they are in this country, this may be a short show. Even so, Willow Smith, daughter of the never shy Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, will be Winfrey’s co-host; with one hit, “Whip My Hair,” under her belt, the Smith child will sing yet another classic, her new single, “21st Century Girl.” Winfrey and Smith will introduce America to a pint-sized duo who danced their way to a half a million dollar jackpot. And watch a teenage guitar genius get surprised by his idol — rocker Lenny Kravitz.

If you have seen any of the Lifetime movies on Betty Broderick, Winfrey has their star, actress Meredith Baxter, on Wednesday to discuss her own shocking story. Baxter didn’t kill anybody like poor, bedeviled Betty, but she drank her way through three marriages, finally gave up on men and decided in her AARP years to go gay. Winfrey will test the earnestness of Baxter’s story when she asks three of her children how they reacted when they found out their mom was a lesbian.

Reruns begin March 3, before Winfrey returns in April with new shows that will likely tie with O magazine’s tribute to National Poetry Month and Maria Shriver’s guest editorship.
