PDQ Bach’s sober half is getting a new gig – with the New York Philharmonic.
Peter Schickele – commentator, composer and cutup – will host three “inside looks” at the classics starting Nov. 30, as part of the Phil’s 2005-06 season.
The 164th season kicks off Sept. 21 with pianist Evgeny Kissin, followed by a Sept. 22 performance by that other red-hot pianist, Lang Lang.
Other highlights at Lincoln Center: an expanded version of John Corigliani’s “The Red Violin,” with soloist Joshua Bell; a three-week celebration of Mozart’s 250th birthday; and a New Year’s Eve concert with soprano Angela Gheorghiu.
