Pee-Wee Herman is returning to HBO.

Actor Paul Reubens, who portrays the bow-tied kids character, got his first national exposure in 1981 on HBO’s “Young Comedians” series.

The cable network now says it will air the “Pee-Wee Herman Show,” currently on Broadway, early next year.
