Take a deep breath — Peggy, played by Elisabeth Moss, will be back on “Mad Men” next season.

The creator of the AMC series, Matthew Weiner, told an online TV Web site yesterday that he doesn’t like giving out plotlines ahead of time — “But I will spoil that one tiny piece of anticipation and tell people that Elisabeth will be showing up to work.”

Fans worried that Peggy, one of the most popular characters on the show, was out for good when she quit the ad agency on which the show centers.

“When people leave Sterling Cooper, sometimes it is the end for [the character],” Weiner admitted.

But not this time, he said.
