In a break from preparation for Game 1 of the National League Championship Series, Philadelphia Phillies slugger Ryan Howard will present the Top Ten List on Thursday’s “Late Show with David Letterman,” the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

The three-time All-Star and 2006 National League MVP will perform his role live, via satellite from Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

The home run hitter is no stranger to television. In addition to his commercial work for sandwich maker Subway, Howard joined teammate Chase Utley for an episode of the popular television show, “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia,” and made a cameo appearance on HBO’s hit series “Entourage” in September.

Howard and the Phillies face the San Francisco Giants on Saturday night to kick off the Philadelphia franchise’s third consecutive NLCS appearance.
