Time Warner is unveiling a super-high-speed Internet connection made for home users who watch a lot of video on the Web — but it’s expensive.

In effect, the new service will double the current download speed — to 50 mbps — over standard Internet service.

Users will be able to download an entire CD in seconds and feature films in less than 20 minutes.

But the service will cost $99.95 per month, the company says.

The new Internet service, which Time Warner launched late last week in parts of Manhattan, Staten Island and Queens, will be available throughout the city by next year.
