MONICA Lewinsky received high marks from the folks at “The View” yesterday following her first-ever stint as guest host.
But don’t look for her to assume a permanent role on the ABC chat show.
“This was a one-shot thing and we were happy she was willing to do it,” said “View” executive producer Bill Geddie.
“This was not a job interview,” said Geddie, who praised Lewinsky’s skill in keeping up with “View” co-hosts Meredith Vieira, Star Jones, Joy Behar and Barbara Walters.
“I thought [Monica] was funny, she’d read up on the things that we were discussing, she was professional and [she had] a good, self-deprecating sense of humor,” the producer said.
Lewinsky, 29, appeared on the show to promote last night’s premiere of the new Fox reality show, “Mr. Personality,” which she is hosting.
On “The View,” the former central figure in the Clinton sex scandal talked about the Fox show and also answered questions about her life.
“You would think you’d want to run away from the media,” Star Jones said to her at one point.
“You know, well, I can’t really,” Lewinsky said. “I mean even before I decided to do this, I realized my life was not a private life. I kind of have a public life now.”
