IT’S been a roller coaster of a week for R. Kelly and Jay-Z. First the feuding duo canceled their “Best of Both Worlds” tour, then Kelly filed a $75-million breach-of-contract suit against Jay-Z.
Now they’re together again, at least on the charts. “Unfinished Business,” a joint release, crowned Billboard’s Top Album charts, selling 215,000 copies its first week out, according to Nielsen/SoundScan.
Trick Daddy‘s “Thug Matrimony: Married to the Streets,” debuted at No. 2, followed by Simple Plan‘s “Still Not Getting Any . . .,” at No. 3.
Further down the line, Michael McDonald‘s “Motown Two” hit No. 9, its first week out.
