RAY Romano is plotting his TV return.

Romano, who’s focused on a movie career since “Everybody Loves Raymond” ended in 2005, has sold a pilot to TNT.

It’s called “Men of a Certain Age” and is described as a “character-based drama” that’s also “wry” in tone.

Romano will play Joe, a fortyish, “slightly neurotic” divorced father of two, who never followed his dreams of being a pro golfer and, instead, owns a party store.

“Men” will follow the lives of Joe and his two college pals, Owen – “an overstressed African American husband/father – and Terry, an “offbeat, handsome” struggling actor. Those roles aren’t yet cast.

Romano wrote the “Men” pilot script with Mike Royce.

“Mike and I have always had success writing what we know,” he said in a statement.

“What we know now is that we’re middle aged, neurotic and fat.”
