IT was only the first episode, and already someone came out of the closet.
Karamo, one of seven housemates on MTV’s “Real World: Philadelphia,” revealed that he was a homosexual, much to the chagrin of his two hetero roommates, M.J. and Landon, who had no clue.
It’s also the first “Real World” ever to have two homosexuals (the other is Willy).
We visited the cast before they moved out of their palatial digs (the former Union National Bank of Philadelphia), and found out some fun facts – like most of them have tattoos of the Roman numerals XV – for “Real World 15.”
“There are so many different elements to this ‘Real World’,” says cast member Shavonda. “You’ve got the athletes, the kid struggling with parents. There were so many issues that were tackled, I don’t know how [MTV] is going to condense it.”
