REGIS Philbin says he’ll return to “Live with Regis & Kelly” in 10 days – six weeks after undergoing triple-bypass heart surgery.

Philbin, 75, phoned into “Live” yesterday to chat with co-host Kelly Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, who was guest-hosting the show.

“You know, the doctors tell me that . . . after six weeks I can come back, and so the day after six weeks is Thursday, April 26,” Philbin said.

“It will be six weeks and a day since I had this thing done to me and I guess that’s the time I’m coming back.”

A rotating roster of guest hosts has filled in for Philbin, who announced on “Live” March 12 that he needed the surgery, which he underwent two days later at a midtown hospital.

Philbin called into the show once before, on March 23, and said he was still in a lot of pain.

He said yesterday that he’s walking every day and working out with “light weights.”

“But I’m not the monster I used to be,” he joked. “Oh my God, what they did to me.

“Anyway, I’m trying to make a comeback.”

He also joked that Ripa and viewers shouldn’t expect the “fun-loving Reege” when he returns.

“My whole personality has changed because of this operation,” he said. “You guys remember the old character actor Peter Lorre?

“That’s Reege . . . don’t expect the fun-loving Regis ever again!”

“Live” officials announced shortly after Philbin’s operation that he would return to the show in time to accompany Ripa to New Orleans in May.
