TOP HAT (1935)

Sunday, 10:00 a.m., TCM

A Fred Astaire ,Ginger Rogers classic. He ‘s an American entertainer;she ‘s a model that he chases from London to Venice. Forget the plot, and watch it for the superb dancing, funny skits, absolutely fantastic clothes – oh,,that white feathered gown! – and Astaire ‘s rendition of “Cheek to Cheek.”

IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE (1953)

Thursday, 10:00 p.m., TCM

In this movie based on a Ray Bradbury novel, Richard Carlson plays an amateur astronomer who sees a spacecraft fall from the sky. It was one of the movies that inadvertently spawned the slew of 1950’s “They’re-coming-to-get-us-from outer space!” B flicks.

HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER ‘S STONE (2001)

Friday, 8 p.m., DIS

Daniel Radcliffe is Harry, the kid raised by his rotten relatives, the Dursleys, who at ten is summoned to Hogwarts,a wizard ‘s school,to learn to do real magic. Not quite up to the best seller, but mighty good.

ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND (2004)

Saturday, 10 p.m., MAX

A couple hit a rough spot in their relationship and separately have their memories erased by a service manned by

sloppy slackers.Convoluted, but interesting with Jim Carrey (who is one step away from becoming Robin Williams),and Kate Winslet.
