Nature Conservancy Students are divided into groups of three and paired with trained mentors for a four-week field season in July, when they live and work on nature preserves. Students assist with land management, educational outreach and scientific research in a safe and supervised natural environment. Students learn about career opportunities in conservation, complete four 40-hour paid work weeks, and visit three colleges.
Bronx Zoo Teaching Fellowships
Spring and fall fellows team teach in onsite school programs for elementary aged children. Spring and fall fellows just be able to work 20 hours a week (mornings) for approximately 18 weeks. Summer fellows work in the Zoo’s camp programs and must be able to work 35 hours a week for 11 weeks.
