KRISTIN Davis is moving from the “City” to become a suburban soccer mom.

Davis, who played Charlotte York on HBO’s long-running “Sex and the City,” has been inked to co-star in an ABC drama pilot called “Soccer Moms.”

The show will revolve around two suburban housewives who become private investigators. The other role has yet to be cast, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Davis, who turns 40 later this month, will appear on the big screen opposite Tim Allen in the upcoming remake of Disney’s 1959 classic, “The Shaggy Dog.”

She’ll also star in the upcoming movies “Sellevision” and “Houseboat.”

Before hitting it big on “Sex and the City,” she was known for being famously written out of “Melrose Place” after one season.

Davis was also the only one of the “Sex” co-stars not to get an Emmy nomination until the show’s final season (it ran for six seasons total).

In that final year, Charlotte converted to Judaism to please her boyfriend, Harry Goldenblatt, who later became her husband. The couple also learned they could adopt a baby from China.

“Soccer Moms” joins “The Commuters,” a project slated for CBS, as the first of what will probably be many suburban-themed shows in the wake of ABC’s monster hit, “Desperate Housewives.”

“The Commuters” revolves around three suburban couples, with the three husbands commuting together into Manhattan.

WITH Kristin Davis set for her “Soccer Moms” pilot at ABC, here’s a look at what her “Sex and the City” co-stars have been up to recently:

* Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones, is currently starring on the London stage in a West End adaptation of “Whose Life Is It Anyway?” – garnering terrific reviews for her role as a paraplegic confined to a hospital bed.

* Cynthia Nixon, who played Miranda Hobbes, will guest-star next Thursday (Feb. 17) on NBC’s “ER” as – coincidentally – a “soccer mom” who suffers a stroke and is rushed to the emergency room. She also plays Eleanor Roosevelt in the upcoming HBO movie “Warm Springs,” which marks the 60th anniversary of FDR’s death

* Sarah Jessica Parker, who played Carrie Bradshaw, just announced her new fragrance line. She’s also been signed to co-star in the big-screen comedy, “Failure to Launch.”
