This could be the end of the “The Simpsons” — for real, this time.
The voice actors behind the long-running animated series are said to be locked in a salary negotiation nightmare with the production studio.
According to news site thedailybeast.com, 20th Century Fox Television rejected the actors’ proposal for a 30 percent pay cut in exchange for a small percentage of back-end profits. Now, the studio is demanding a flat 45 percent pay cut.
If an agreement isn’t reached, the series could wrap permanently in May, at the end of its 23rd season.
