A federal judge has refused to dismiss a suit filed by TLC’s polygamous “Sister Wives” family.

U.S. District Judge Clark Waddoups ruled Friday in the case filed by Kody Brown and his four wives, who’ve argued that Utah’s bigamy law should be overturned because it violates their right to privacy.

The Utah County District Attorney’s office sought to have the lawsuit tossed, but Waddoups ruled that promise appeared to be a ploy to avoid the suit. —
