‘SMALLVILLE’ is about to get a taste of the “X-Files” Cigarette Smoking Man.

William B. Davis, who played the creepy insider who seemed to be at the center of every major “X-Files” conspiracy, will guest star on the Nov. 12 episode of the “Smallville” as the town’s corrupt Mayor, William Tate.

A “Smallville” source noted that Davis has not yet been signed as a regular or recurring cast member.
