GEORGE Lucas is one step closer to launch ing the latest chapter of “Star Wars.”

Two minutes of footage from the upcoming TV show “The Clone Wars” was posted on the official “Star Wars” Web site, http://www.starwars.com.

The show, which takes place in between the most recent movies, is not slated to debut for at least two years.

The scene showed battle scenes featuring Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and other favorite “Star Wars” characters.

The clip seemed to be something of a middle ground between the hand-drawn look of the Cartoon Network mini-series and the realistic CGI world of the “Star Wars” live-action films.
