‘Little’ bit of news
TLC will announce that it’s renewed “Little People, Big World” for a third season. The reality show built around the Roloff family – comprised of little and average-height people – returned Monday for its spring premiere in its new timeslot, scoring record numbers: Nearly 3 million viewers (8-9 p.m.). It also notched the best cable numbers, across-the-board, in several key demos.

Industry vet Chuck LaBella is the creative force behind the new series “The Bronx Bunny,” premiering April 18 on Starz (11:45 p.m.). LaBella, most recently talent coordinator on NBC’s “Thank God You’re Here” and ABC’s “The Next Best Thing,” created and executive-produces the comedy, which revolves around a talk show featuring two foul-mouthed, politically incorrect furry animals (Bronx Bunny and sidekick Teddy T). Guest stars include Howie Mandel, Steve Schirripa, George “Oh My” Takei and Joely Fisher. The show was a big hit in the U.K., where it aired on Chan nel 4 in 2003.
Last, but not least:
* At NBC News: Anne Thompson has been named chief environmental affairs correspondent.
* April 16: HBO’s Bill Maher emcees the ArtsConnection 2007 Benefit Celebration featuring Wyclef Jean (Metropolitan Pavilion).
* Add Liz Rumble (Self magazine) to the list of “Favorite Publicist Names.”
