Stern not a draw
Howard Stern’s Monday-night debut on “America’s Got Talent” generated mediocre ratings.
The show’s two-hour season premiere — featuring Stern at the judge’s table along with Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne — averaged 10.5 million viewers. That’s down nearly 2 million viewers from what “Talent” averaged last season (12.4 million viewers combined for its Tuesday and Wednesday episodes).
“Talent” — which was competing against “Dancing With the Stars” and CBS’s strong sitcom lineup — did better in the advertiser-coveted “young viewer” demo of adults 18-49, averaging a strong 3.7.
