WARNER Bros. may turn the entertainment gossip Web site, TMZ.com, into a new syndicated show to compete with “Access Hollywood,” “Entertainment Tonight” and “The Insider,” reports Broadcasting & Cable.

The site is co-owned by the studio and its sister company, AOL.

Turning the site into a TV show had always been part of a larger strategy, but following the site’s Mel Gibson DUI/bigot scoop, “there have been more calls about it,” said a Warner Bros. Domestic Television honcho.
