NBC’s “Today” show has reclaimed its top spot in the morning TV race — one week after ABC’s “Good Morning America” pulled an historic upset.

Official numbers won’t be released until today, but several industry sources say that “Today” finished ahead of “GMA” last week in both total viewers and the all-important demo of adults 25-54 (coveted by advertisers).

“GMA” had beaten “Today” in total viewers the week of April 9 for the first time in 16 years. (“Today” won the adults 25-54 demo that week.)

“Today” co-host Matt Lauer, who was off the week that “GMA” beat “Today” in total viewers, returned to the show last week. —
