Sandra Faire’s death was confirmed Friday in a statement from the CBC, where she was a producer for successful shows such as “Rita and Friends.”

Faire — who worked with big names such as Shania Twain, Patti Labelle and Garth Brooks — died Wednesday in Toronto. No cause of death or age were released.

“She made a lasting impact in her time with CBC and throughout her career through her work and generous contributions to Canadian culture and society as a whole,” CBC said in a statement.

In her nearly 50-year career, Faire also worked for CTV and The Comedy Network, contributing to shows such as “Comedy Inc,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. She broke into the television industry in 1972 as an associate producer on the comedy program “Half the George Kirby Comedy Hour.”

“She was a trailblazer for women in film and television whose commitment to excellence helped set the standard for production in this country,” Randy Lennox, president of Bell Media, said in a statement.

Faire and her partner, Ivan Fecan, were known for their charitable giving to many Canadian organizations and institutions. The couple supported The National Ballet of Canada, Canada’s National Ballet School and the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Hollywood Reporter reported.

She is survived by her husband.
