AUSTIN Powers’ most famous little person, Verne Troyer (Mini-Me), is in negotiations with UPN to become a regular on the lowbrow sitcom, “Shasta McNasty.”

If all goes as planned, Troyer – who played a midget living in a toy house on skid row on last Thursday’s debut – may now get to be a regular character on the show.

Sources have confirmed that Troyer’s management is in talks with UPN.

“Shasta McNasty,” which stars Jake Busey (son of actor Gary Busey), is about three slacker, hip-hop band members who live together in Venice Beach, Cal., and get into trouble for running various scams.

In New York, about 474,000 viewers tuned in for the show Thursday on Ch.9 after UPN’s “WWF Smackdown.”

For now, Troyer is scheduled to appear on at least one more episode of “Shasta McNasty” as a mini-boxer who runs afoul of a mini-Don King.
