MSNBC has cancelled Jesse Ventura’s short- lived talk show, “Jesse Ventura’s America.”

Ventura, the ex-pro-wrestler who served a term as Minnesota governor, will continue to work for MSNBC as a political commentator throughout next year’s presidential campaign.

“I’ve decided to focus the majority of our resources on Monday-Friday primetime in 2004. Consequently, the holiday hiatus for ‘Jesse Ventura’s America’ will continue indefinitely,” MSNBC news chief Erik Sorenson said in an e-mail to staffers.

As The Post first reported, rumors about the show’s demise abounded last week when production shut down for the holidays – and insiders whispered the show was kaput.

“Jesse Ventura’s America,” which debuted last October and aired Saturdays, averaged 249,000 viewers.
