FANS of Showtime’s “The Tudors” can catch Sunday’s season opener online – but only if they’re Showtime subscribers.

Although Showtime has advertised that it will provide the second-season “Tudors”premiere on over 60 platforms, Web watchers found they needed a password to watch the show.

The password is given only to Showtime’s paying customers.

But there’s a loophole; for fans looking to avoid the $12 monthly Showtime subscription fee, the code has been published on several media blogs.

“Showtime is a big believer on sampling its products consistently with each of our shows,” says network spokesman Stuart Zakim.

Showtime is hoping to pump up its subscriber base, which lags behind its chief competitor, HBO.
