NBC is developing a mili tary drama centered on a U.S. Marine unit stationed in Iraq.

It may seem a bit early for a TV series based in Iraq, but NBC appears to be eager to get a military drama moving on its network quickly.

After two years of lackluster ratings, NBC allowed the series “JAG” to go to CBS in 1996 – where it caught on.
