Why we love Clive Owen
Clive Owen’s comeback performance as a drug-addicted surgeon in turn-of-the-century New York on “The Knick” has us primed to see him live in the revival of Harold Pinter’s “Old Times” at the American Airlines Theatre, opening Tuesday.
Owen, 50, will play a middle-aged Englishman who had a liaison with the college roommate of his wife.
The British-born actor is no stranger to romantic melodrama, but it’s his role as Dr. John Thackery on “The Knick,” which returns for a second season on Cinemax Oct. 16, that has brought him to prominence again.
