CBS soap “The Young and the Restless” will begin a story arc today that pays tribute late star Jeanne Cooper, who played Katherine Chancellor.

In the multi-episode storyline, Katherine’s loved ones are sent postcards asking them to gather at the Chancellor Estate — where they learn that Katherine has died while on vacation with her husband, Murphy (Michael Fairman).

“Y&R” airs 12:30 p.m. on Ch. 2.

Cooper, who starred on “Y&R” for nearly 40 years, died in May at the age of 84.
