RUDY Giuliani found himself on the receiv ing end of a liberal ambush yesterday on “The View.”

The rancorous segment turned into a free-for-all when attack dogs Star Jones, Meredith Vieira and Joy Behar began hammering Giuliani with questions about his convention speech Monday night.

“Don’t you think [Al Gore] would have been just as tough on [terrorism as President Bush]?” demanded Behar.

“I think Al Gore would have backed off now about four times,” the ex-mayor shot back.

“Do you believe that today, ‘either you’re with the terrorists or you’re with us’?” screamed Jones, referring to a passage from a Bush speech delivered shortly after 9/11 that Giuliani quoted in his speech.

“The terrorists killed almost 3,000 of our people, so what side are you on,” Giuliani replied.

“The implication is that if you disagree with the administration that somehow you are on the side of the terrorists,” Vieira blurted out.

“That isn’t what it means,” Giuliani said. “That’s a way of misunderstanding what [President Bush] is saying, which is what people do to him all the time.”
