Does HBO have something against residents of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?

The answer might be “yes,” given that a gang of criminals on HBO’s “True Blood” donned Barack Obama masks Sunday night while they shot at the show’s main characters.

The Obama-masked gunmen follow in the footsteps of a “Game of Thrones” episode from a few months ago that became controversial because the show’s creators revealed in a DVD extras interview that a barely visible George W. Bush head was impaled on a spike in a scene.

Although HBO apologized for the “Thrones” snafu and removed the scene from future DVDs, they say the two POTUS jabs are unconnected.

“It’s a complete and utter coincidence, and one show has nothing to do with the other,” an HBO spokesperson told Deadline.com.
