Take a look at this Insta-famous model’s photos, which show her lounging poolside and confidently dancing in her underwear, and there doesn’t appear to be an inkling of any body insecurities.

But in a series of tweets on Sunday, Alexis Ren revealed how the photos don’t tell the full story.

The 20-year-old opened up about her struggles with her relationship with food, saying that she has “gone through a lot as far as health [goes].”

“I overworked myself to the point of malnourishment (as you can tell from my images last year),” she said. “I was in a toxic state of mind, and I’m so grateful to be out of that f–king mindset.”

Ren, who has 8.8 million Instagram followers, has become a social media phenomenon posting photos of herself sun-kissed in paradise.

Last year, she was described as being a “flawlessly filtered bikini body come to life” offline in a New York Magazine profile titled “Instagram’s Teen Idol on What It’s Like To Be ‘Perfect.’

But Ren said Sunday that she’s had to “take a huge step of acceptance” in the last year.

“I am now healthy and able to eat full meals without guilt. I workout because I love it…not to punish myself,” she said.

She also posted a photo of herself healthier, happier and au naturel in bed, adding she wants to continue to share her story.
