While Kevin Durant expressed disgust over the Derek Fisher firing, Kobe Bryant was rather bland. Perhaps he didn’t want to take too harsh a stand, as Knicks president Phil Jackson and interim coach Kurt Rambis are two of his mentors.

But Bryant was tight with Fisher as longtime Lakers teammates.

“They felt they needed a change and they made a change,’’ Bryant said. “It’s pretty black and white. “Derek’s like a brother, always has been. But still it’s hard to coach somewhere and be there for your entire career there. He’s had a good run there and now it’s time for a change.’’
