Not everyone is impressed with Lonzo Ball’s at-home workouts.

Last week, the Pelicans point guard posted clips of his quarantine weightlifting routine to Instagram, which included bench presses and overhead lifts. Social media naturally had a field day at Ball’s expense, with former Wright State softball player Ashton Salyers among those shading his form.

“Me and my college softball teammates would literally embarrass this man in the weight room,” Salyers replied to a tweet of Ball’s workout.

Salyers, a self-proclaimed “baseball enthusiast” and “sports lover,” wrapped her senior season in 2017 with a batting average of .172. She currently boasts over 5,000 Instagram followers.

In addition to Salyers, more of Ball’s followers let loose in the comments section of his post.

“Some interesting form on those presses,” one responded.

“Those shoulder presses hurt to watch,” another replied, while one commenter griped: “What that bar like 10 pounds.”

Ball, the second overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, was traded to the Pelicans from the Lakers last summer. His first season in New Orleans came to a halt in March amid the coronavirus pandemic.
