AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Knicks president Phil Jackson won’t hit the road to watch his NBA team play, but was shown on TV Thursday night in Columbus, Ohio, viewing the Big Ten contest between Nebraska and Ohio State. The Buckeyes boast expected top-4 pick D’Angelo Russell.

The 6-foot-5 point guard’s stock has skyrocketed in the last month.

“He’s a great-looking kid,” Jackson said as he headed out of the arena, according to Cleveland.com. “Great prospect.”

Though Jackson’s health is an issue in terms of traveling, he said at last week’s trade deadline he would start going on the road to some college games.

If the Knicks finish with the top lottery seed, they can fall no further than fourth in the NBA draft. The top four picks are projected to be Russell, Duke center Jahlil Okafor, Kentucky center Karl Towns and point guard Emmanuel Mudiay, who graduated from high school in Texas, then chose to play in China before injuring his ankle.

Should Jackson want to see Russell again, the Buckeyes have just three regular-season games left before the Big Ten tournament, which begins March 11 in Chicago. That includes their final regular-season game, on March 8 against Wisconsin. Badgers center Frank Kaminsky also will be in action in that game and at the tourney.

Jackson has attended one Knicks road game this season — in Los Angeles, where he owns a home.

At the game’s conclusion, Jackson was caught in the student section during the playing of the alma mater:
