“Mangenius” might get another chance at walking an NFL sideline.

The Saints are interested in former Jets coach Eric Mangini for their open defensive coordinator spot, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Mangini spent three years with the Jets from 2006-2008, going 23-25 with one trip to the playoffs, a loss to the Patriots in the Wild Card game in 2006. He was fired after the Jets collapsed in 2008, starting 8-3 only to miss the postseason. After that, Mangini went 10-22 as coach of the Browns.

Mangini told Schefter that he had not been contacted by the Saints. Ex-Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel is also a consideration, the report says.

The Saints fired Steve Spagnuolo, who used to work with the Giants, on Thursday.
