Spike Lee has seen enough of Phil Jackson, and that was before Charles Oakley was ejected from the Garden during Wednesday’s game against the Clippers.
“I’ll pack Phil’s bag for him,” Lee, the film director and Knicks mega fan, told ESPN’s Steve Zeng.
It seems Lee had taken offense to Jackson’s antics aimed at star forward Carmelo Anthony, whom the Knicks president actively has been shopping on the trade market. Lee seemed irate about Jackson’s tweet that referenced a critical column about Anthony.
In his tweet, which ended a 42-day social media hiatus, Jackson wrote, “Bleacher’s Ding almost rings a bell, but I learned you don’t change the spot on a leopard with Michael Graham in my CBA daze.”
The tweet was taken to be a tweak of Anthony, whom Jackson has criticized for being ball-dominant. Lee doesn’t agree.
“I think I still believe in Carmelo,” Lee said. “But Phil Jackson is making it very difficult for him.”
