And you thought David Lee was going to be pumped for a game at the Garden.

The Warriors forward got into a shoving match with Pacers big man Roy Hibbert that led to a scuffle in Indiana’s 108-97 win. Hibbert, who tossed Stephen Curry to the ground, was ejected and four technicals were given out, including one for Lee, who was suspended for Wednesday night’s game against the Knicks.

“Indiana’s a very physical team,” Lee said. “They’re one of the most physical teams, if not the most physical team in the East.”

An injury might have kept Lee from playing anyway Wednesday night against the Knicks, who let him leave for Golden State in free agency before the 2010 season. Lee told the Contra Costa Times that he banged up his shoulder when the Pacers’ Orlando Johnson ran into him in the second quarter, and that he could sit out Wednesday if the soreness persisted.
