Adrian Peterson thinks it’s sad that people will believe anything in the media, but the Vikings running back apparently has no intention of clearing up any of the falsehoods he believes are circulating.

Peterson, the former MVP who has been sidelined most of the season after being accused of child abuse, could be facing even more trouble, after the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported on Monday that his charity improperly used funds. With some of that cash possibly paying for a night of drinking and sex in a hotel room — including a minor — which led to a rape accusation against Peterson, though he was not charged.

Not directly responding to the new report, Peterson tweeted:

It's SAD how people these days will believe anything reported by media sources that don't take the time to be GREAT!!!

Just in-general!

Just in general, of course, with no denial of anything that has been reported. Many would tell you what’s sad is Peterson’s fall from fan favorite to an embarrassment of the league.
