So, he does know his name.
New Giants coach Joe Judge has steadfastly avoided using the words “Daniel Jones” or calling any of his new players by name as he preached competition at every position in his first months on the job.
Judge slipped on Thursday night when talking about NFL Draft 2020 first-round pick offensive tackle Andrew Thomas, who the Giants selected at No. 4 and will be charged with protecting Jones.
Judge called the Thomas selection a “tremendous move to help Daniel play more confident,” according to The Post’s Paul Schwartz, who noted that it was a first for the Bill Belichick disciple.
